Friday 18 September. On arrival in Wellington, we are met by our driver and travel to Island Bay for lunch overlooking the ocean. Afterwards, we visit Government House, the official residence of the Governor-General of New Zealand, where we enjoy a guided tour of this impressive historic residence – stepping inside rooms rarely seen by the public and hearing stories of state occasions, royal visits and national milestones.

Following our afternoon visit, we travel into central Wellington and check in to the InterContinental Wellington. This centrally located, recently refurbished hotel is adjacent to TSB Arena (host of the WOW Show) and within easy walking distance of Lambton Quay, the waterfront, Oriental Bay, and Te Papa.

Saturday 19 September. Today is yours to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps visit Te Papa, stroll along the waterfront, browse the shops, admire the galleries, or simply soak up the city’s vibrant street culture.

An optional extra is available for those who would like to visit Zealandia – an incredible urban sanctuary home to some of New Zealand’s richest native birdlife, right within the city. Otherwise, your Tour Manager will be on hand to help coordinate activities to suit your interests.

This evening, we enjoy an exclusive pre-show dining experience at the InterContinental Wellington – a new immersive event created especially for the WOW season. Just a short stroll from TSB Arena, this 75-minute experience brings WOW’s artistry up close as we enjoy a delicious grazing dinner while walking among extraordinary WOW garments, complete with live entertainment and special photo-op moments.

After this ultimate pre-show occasion, we depart for TSB Arena (venue of the WOW Show). Prepare to be dazzled by cutting-edge talent from around the globe — from visionary garment designers to dancers, aerialists, musicians, and performers. Each WOW Show Season takes around 18 months to create and is truly unforgettable.

Sunday 20 September. This morning we check out of the hotel and take a ride on the iconic Wellington Cable Car up to the Botanic Garden. From here, we wander down through the garden pathways, admiring the vibrant tulips in bloom and enjoying sweeping views across the city and harbour.

Our morning continues with a guided tour of Parliament Buildings. Go behind the scenes at the place where many of our nation’s most important decisions are made as we explore the historic Parliamentary Library, step inside the debating chamber, and visit the distinctive Beehive. Along the way, we’ll hear fascinating stories, traditions, and moments that have helped shape modern NZ.
