Itinerary   |   15 - 20 September 2026
  • DAY 1. Seriously Wellington

Tuesday 15 September. Upon arrival in Wellington, we’ll be greeted by our driver and chauffeured to the National Library to explore the award-winning He Tohu exhibition space, which houses some of New Zealand’s most significant documents: the Treaty of Waitangi, the Declaration of Independence (1835), and the Women’s Suffrage Petition. A knowledgeable guide will lead us through these national treasures.

Later, we check in to the InterContinental Wellington. This centrally located, recently refurbished hotel is adjacent to TSB Arena (host of the WOW Show) and within easy walking distance of Lambton Quay, the waterfront, Oriental Bay, and Te Papa.

    Dinner.

  • DAY 2. Kapiti Island | Southward Car Museum

Wednesday 16 September. Today we are driven out to Paraparaumu Beach, where we board our boat for Kapiti Island – one of New Zealands’s oldest and most important nature reserves. We have 2 hours on this island where an experienced nature guide walks with us to explain the rich human and ecological history, and help identify the flora and fauna around us. We enjoy a hot cuppa and a biscuit in the lodge before returning back to the mainland.

We then make our way out to the Southward Car Museum. Here, we check out the incredible vintage car collection founded by Sir Len and Vera Southward. Purchasing their first Model T Ford in 1956 was the start of the largest privately owned car collection in the world.

Dress for a lovely evening as we wander to a fabulous waterfront restaurant.

    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

  • DAY 3. Stansborough Wool | Roxy Cinema

Thursday 17 September. Wellington is home to many creatives and our first visit today is to the Stansborough wool store. Stansborough creates heritage woven products from the grey wool of their unique breed of Stansborough Grey sheep. The store is home to their mill, which produces the yarn to create beautiful blankets, scarves, wraps and throws and is also sought after for the creation of many costumes for blockbuster movies.

We then get the lowdown on the Miramar scene, the history of The Roxy and a chance to experience the grandeur of the Grand Lobby; the venue for many a red carpet premieres and film industry shindigs. Then sit back and relax while you watch a short film show reel created by Oscar winning film editor, Jamie Selkirk, celebrating cinema through the decades.

    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

  • DAY 4. Greytown | Martinborough

Friday 18 September. This morning we depart for Greytown and Martinborough. Greytown is renowned for its beautifully restored Victorian wooden buildings, now home to stylish specialty stores, boutiques, and cafés. Enjoy time at leisure to wander and soak up the charm of this delightful town.

A visit to the Wairarapa wouldn’t be complete without a vineyard experience, so we have selected a Martinborough vineyard for a delicious shared lunch, followed by a wine tasting at a neighbouring vineyard. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the exceptional food, wines, and ambience.

    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

  • DAY 5. City Day | World of WearableArt Show

Saturday 19 September. Today is yours to enjoy at leisure. Visit Te Papa, stroll the waterfront, browse galleries and shops, or simply soak up Wellington’s vibrant atmosphere. An optional visit to Zealandia is available, or your Tour Manager can help tailor activities to suit your interests.

This evening, we enjoy an exclusive pre-show dining experience at the InterContinental Wellington. This immersive event includes a delicious grazing dinner among extraordinary WOW garments, with live entertainment and photo opportunities, just a short stroll from TSB Arena.

We then take our Platinum Pass seats for the spectacular World of WearableArt® Show – a dazzling international production of fashion, performance and creativity, complete with a Souvenir Programme.

    Breakfast, Dinner.

  • DAY 6. Wellington Gardens | Parliament Tour

Sunday 20 September. This morning we check out of the hotel and ride the iconic Wellington Cable Car to the Botanic Garden, where we wander through the pathways admiring vibrant spring tulips and sweeping harbour views.

We then enjoy a guided tour of Parliament Buildings, exploring the historic Parliamentary Library, the debating chamber, and the distinctive Beehive while hearing stories that have helped shape modern New Zealand.

Later, we share a delicious farewell lunch before transferring to Wellington Airport for our journey home with Seemore Tours – where you see more, do more, and have more fun!

Welcome to the World of WearableArt (WOW)

For over 30 years, World of WearableArt (WOW) has been embracing the worlds of art, design and fashion and bringing them together into a theatrical performance. The first WOW Awards Show took place back in 1987 under a rain-soaked marquee in rural Nelson, New Zealand. Local sculptor and WOW Founder, Dame Suzie Moncrieff, first came up with the idea of World of WearableArt as a means of promoting a local co-operative art gallery; by taking art off the wall and displaying it on the moving body.
